The Inland Northwest Food Network is pleased to announce that they will once again be offering the Power of Produce (PoP) Club this summer at the Hayden Farmers Market. The PoP Club – first held last summer – is a program that seeks to encourage children to make healthy food choices by empowering them to shop for, grow and prepare fresh fruits and vegetables.

Children between the ages of 5 – 12 are eligible to participate in the program free of charge. Upon registering, they will be given a reusable shopping bag and a PoP Club button. Each week, club members will receive a token worth $2 to purchase a fresh fruit, vegetable or plant at participating farmer booths at the market. A PoP Club booth will offer interactive activities such as tastings, scavenger hunts, pedal-powered smoothies, seed planting, and more. The program will run June 2 – Sept 1, 2018
