1 Million Page Challenge
Join the North Idaho Reads 1 Million Pages Reading Challenge, hosted by The Literacy Project of North Idaho — a free, six-month, community-wide literacy event running March 15–August 30. Individuals, families, schools, businesses, churches, and community groups across Coeur d’Alene, Post Falls, Sandpoint, Rathdrum, Hayden, and surrounding areas are invited to work together (and enjoy a little friendly competition!) to collectively read and track 1 million pages.
All printed pages count — books, magazines, poetry, children’s books, fiction, and nonfiction. Participants track their reading in an online journal, contributing to personal, team, and community totals.
This challenge raises awareness about low literacy, reduces stigma, and supports long-term adult literacy efforts in North Idaho. Participants will also receive a yard sign to help spread awareness throughout their neighborhoods.
Sign-up begins March 1. Full details and registration information can be found at www.theliteracyprojectni.org. All ages and reading levels are welcome!
