The celebrations kick off with Coffee and conversation @ 10am while we enjoy “The Importance of Juneteenth-Learn Juneteenth History” presentation. Juneteenth holds deep significance, symbolizing the strength, resilience, and enduring spirit of African Americans in the face of adversity. Join us for this most informative program on the history of the eleventh American federal holiday. And for those of you who would like to continue on with the days’ festivities, you are welcome to participate in the 11am Chili Tasting at HREI, the 11:30am Community Leadership Panel Discussion at HREI, the 5:30pm Juneteenth Walk/Vigil meeting up at 5th & Wallace, CDA, and then from 5:30-8:30pm at HREI enjoy music performed by Max Daniels and Monee from SONY Entertainment.
