To recognize September as Recovery Month in Kootenai County, The Kootenai Recovery Community Center (KRCC) will be hosting a Recovery Rally on Saturday, September 18, 2021, from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Eagles 15th St. Pavilion in Coeur d’Alene. This year’s theme is: Recovery is for Everyone. Every Person. Every Family. Every Community. Come join us as we celebrate recovery with great food and beverages, games, music, a bouncy castle, emceed by DJ Sassy, special musical performance by Jawbo, and a spotlight performance by renowned recovery-based comedian, Jay Armstrong. This will be a family friendly event and we ask that you do share this experience with your family. Come join us as we celebrate human connection in Kootenai County.
Recovery Month is a national observance held every September to celebrate the gains made by those in recovery and reinforce the positive message that behavioral health is essential to overall health, that prevention works, treatment is effective, and people can and do recover. Recovery Month works to promote and support new evidence-based treatment and recovery practices, the emergence of a strong and proud recovery community, and the dedication of service providers and community members across the nation who make recovery in all its forms possible.
