• Eat Smart Idaho – University of Idaho Extension

Provides nutrition and physical activity education for low – income Idahoans.

• ElderHelp of North Idaho

Assists seniors with limited resources in the community by providing them with wheelchair ramps, railings, grab bars, minor home repairs, weatherization firewood, information/referral services, yard work, snow shoveling, and more so they can stay safely and comfortably in their homes.

• Emerge

Emerge is a collective art experience engaging all members of the community in a variety of high quality creative outlets, while offering a platform for emerging artists to cultivate their careers as professionals.

• Family Promise North Idaho

Serves homeless families with children and empowers them to achieve sustainable housing.

• Girl Scouts of Eastern Washington & North Idaho

Leadership development organization for girls with a mission of “Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.”

• Goodwill Industries

Goodwill Industries of the Inland Northwest was founded in Spokane in 1939. They serve individuals and families in 23 counties in eastern Washington and northern Idaho.

• Guardians of the Children (GOC)

The mission of the GOC is to recognize and react to child abuse and educate the public to do the same; to serve as advocates to provide strength and stability to families in crisis; and be an answer to the prayer of an abused child or teen for courage, support and protection.

• ID Department of Health & Welfare

Provides programs and services designed to help people live healthy and be productive, strengthening individuals, families and communities. From birth throughout life, we help people improve their lives.

• Idaho Distance Education Academy

A public K – 12 Idaho Charter School.

• Kaleidoscope Community Services

Offers connection to community resources, emergency resources, drop – in venue (2nd Street Commons with coffee, snacks, computers, wifi), volunteer opportunities, membership program, individual mentoring/group training, and meeting venue

Provides opportunities in sports and healthy activities for youth of all ages and abilities with a focus on underserved youth in North Idaho.

• Mountain States Early Head Start

Provides Child Development, Parenting, Community Resources, Prenatal Education and Support, Health Education, Home Visits, Playgroups, and Family Activities

• On – Call Babysitting Service

Provides parents with babysitters who have been through a thorough interview and screening process, currently serving the Greater Coeur d’Alene area.

Kiwanis is all about making friends and making an impact in our local community.

Established in 2003 to support the development of parks, open space and recreational opportunities.

• Region 1 Idaho Infant Toddler Program/Regional Early Childhood Committee

Provides early intervention services for children with developmental delays and or disabilities from the ages of birth up to their third birthday. There is no cost to families.

• Union Gospel Mission Center for Women & Children.

The first long – term, residential recovery center for women with children in Kootenai County, the Center provides a warm, home – like setting in which to explore and confront the issues surrounding abuse, addiction and homelessness.
