Sing-a-long-a Sound of Music is not just a chance to see the classic movie on the big screen, but a major audience participation event including subtitles for all the songs. Kootenai County Fire and Rescue and Santa are teaming up to collect food, toys and cash to help those in need this holiday season. Be looking for decorated fire engines coming through neighborhoods in Dalton Gardens and Post Falls on the evenings of December 5th and 6th. Idaho Human Rights Day, also known as Martin Luther King Jr – Idaho Human Rights Day, is a state holiday in Idaho, the United States, on the third Monday of January. It focuses on human rights while embracing diversity. It also honors Martin Luther King Jr, an American civil rights leader.
HREI will have a full day of activities, special movies presented by Local Americorps, and Gallery exhibit, Human Rights Heroes: Past and Present. Full Schedule will be posted at HREI.org after the New Year.
