This Honor Flight fundraiser helps send our veterans, free of charge, to Washington DC to thank them for their service and to visit the memorials erected in their honor.
CEP presents The Disco Inferno: White Wedding, the fifth annual benefit for Coeur d’Alene School District 271. Proceeds from this event go directly to SD 271 Public School Libraries. Our district libraries currently have no budget or additional resources and the Disco Inferno divides proceeds evenly to all of our public school libraries to assist librarians in budgeting for the year.

Community United Methodist Church invites the community to attend dedication events celebrating the installation of the renovated historic pipe organ. The organ will be officially dedicated and heard for the first time during the 9:00 a.m. Traditional Worship Service. A Dedication Pipe Organ Recital, open to the public will be at 2pm. The church is fully handicapped assessible. Off-street parking is available
Performers at the 9am worship service will include Cynthia Marlette and Mark Haberman, organists for the church. Long time community organist, Byrl Cinnamon, will join Marlette and Haberman for the afternoon Dedicatory Recital. Additionally, for the recital, two commissioned works will be featured, including an anthem that will be performed by the church’s Chancel Choir under the direction of Bill Jaquette. Sheila Schindler, soprano saxophonist, will join Marlette on one composition for organ and saxophone. There is no admission fee.
The historic organ was installed in the congregation’s previous building, located at 7th and Wallace, in 1908 and included 640 individual pipes. It was rebuilt and enlarged to 1,267 pipes in 1978. When the congregation built the new facility in 1994, the organ was reinstalled in that setting. The 2018 renovation, by Marceau & Associates of Seattle, Washington, afforded an opportunity to further enhance the instrument’s bold, extraordinary sound by increasing its size to 1,581 pipes. This is an impromptu trail run for a good cause. We will be collecting food and donation for Children’s Village, Inc.
* Please park on the east side of McEuen Park (City Hall Parking lot) I will have my van and you can drop off your donation there. I will have the back doors open for your donation.

The run will start at the McEuen Park Band Shell. From band shell we will run to the 3rd street entrance and run around Tubbs Hill (counter clock wise) and back to the band shell. This is a fun run, all we ask for is a donation for Children’s Village from their needs list.

Here are some detail on what the Children’s village is in need of.
The 7th Annual Turkey Trot is a great way to start your Thanksgiving Day! 1 Mile, 5k and 10k routes make this this perfect fun run for family, friends and even your furry friends. Start and finish at The Kroc Center with hot cider provided by Movita Health at the finish. All proceeds benefit the homeless in our area, facilitated by our friends at The Onesimus Project.
Join us for our 3rd annual Craft Fair! Food, Crafts, Vendors, Live Music, & Fun. Fresh, local Christmas trees will also be for sale in the parking lot. Funds support the CCS 11th & 12th grade trip to Washington DC.
Join the City of Rathdrum for the Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony. The lights will be turned on promptly at 5:00 pm on Main St. near City Hall. This event takes place during December D’Lights hosted by the Rathdrum Chamber of Commerce.
December D’Lights begins at 4:00 pm and ends at 7:00 pm. Join the Chamber of Commerce before the Tree Lighting Ceremony for carriage rides, Santa Claus, Hot Cocoa, S’Mores, crafts, face painting, and carols. Also be prepared for the lighted rig parade at 5:30 pm.

It’s that time of the year… parties, too much food and drink, and of course ugly Christmas sweaters! Trail Maniacs would like to combine those time honored traditions AND we’ll even throw in a little help for those less fortunate. We are having an Ugly Sweater run. This event is free, but we are accepting gently used jackets, coats, sweaters and blankets for those in need.
Starting at the St. Vincent parking lot at 201 E Harrison Ave, Coeur d’Alene, ID 83814. We will run 3 to 4 mile (route will depend on weather conditions). Route will most likely include 2nd Street to Tubbs Hill and back, we will finish at Daft Badger. Daft Badger Brewing will have refreshments and a contest for best dressed runner! Voting will start at Daft Badger at 12:00 pm. We will update prizes, but we will have a prize for overall male and female best ugly sweater! Best of all Daft Badger will be offering $1.00 off pints for anyone wearing an ugly sweater!

The Post Falls Food Bank works closely with the Post Falls School District to provide food for over 150 students over the holiday break. These children who are living at or below the federal poverty level and are at risk of not getting enough to eat over the long break. Nutritionally balanced food is identified specifically for this program. The food packs are purchased by the Post Falls Food Bank and need our help to assemble these backpacks.

Silver Valley Tree Lighting Ceremony: A remembrance for whom we grieve, hosted by Hospice of North Idaho
Gather your family for an evening of music and calm reflection in remembrance of those we grieve this holiday season. Each household in attendance will receive a special keepsake ornament for their household. All are welcome to this community-oriented ceremony. Free.
