7th Annual New York Runway Elegance Fashion Show @ Best Western Plus Coeur d'Alene Inn

We will be hosting St. Vinny’s 7th Annual Fashion Show in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Outfits and fashion accessories are from St. Vincent de Paul’s thrift stores and are modeled by local celebrities and friends. We anticipate approximately 400 guests at the function and the funds raised will go toward our Winter Warming Center for those without shelter for protection from the cold. Last winter alone, the Warming Center was open 88 nights with an average of 35 people per night. St. Vincent de Paul North Idaho does not receive federal or state funding for these Warming Centers.

– How to create a donor-advised fund to practice family philanthropy and support multiple charities with one gift

Emergency Preparedness & Disability Workshop @ Kootenai County Fire and Rescue Training Center

A free workshop will be held on November 5th to help people with disabilities be prepared in the event of an emergency. While disasters and emergencies affect everyone, their impact on people with disabilities is often compounded by factors such as reliance on electrical power, elevators, accessible transportation, exclusion from shelters, and accessible communication. By attending the free workshop, you can learn how to do a personal assessment, develop a concise emergency plan, assemble your “go bag”, and learn how to stay informed. Each participant will receive their own emergency supply starter kit. Anyone with a disability, their friends, family or caregivers is invited to attend.

The EXCEL Foundation’s 2019 Big Event @ Best Western Plus CDA Inn

Revitalized in 2017 with the Association of Fundraising Professionals Idaho Chapter, Idaho Community Foundation, Idaho Women’s Charitable Foundation, and the Idaho Nonprofit Center.

The fundraising begins with the silent auction and buy-it-now tree sales, or participate in the live tree sale auction followed by entertainment, dancing, and more. This year’s event will be emceed by Robyn Nance and Caiti Bobbitt.

A Night Before Christmas–a benefit for Children’s Village CDA @ Midtown Home & Vintage Market

Please join us for our first annual “A Night Before Christmas” event and help us share a little holiday magic with the children of Children’s Village, a local non-profit which provides a home to children in desperate need of a safe haven from abuse, neglect, homelessness, and severe family crisis in the Coeur d’ Alene area.

We will be collecting donations (100% of your donations will go to Children’s Village), and in return, our vendors will be offering you a chance to finish up your Christmas shopping with some great savings (up to 25% off) on your total regular-priced purchases from 6-9pm.
