Golf for a cause! Hosted by the Hayden Eagles, everyone is welcome to this fun, best-ball, golf scramble on August 18, 2018 followed by lunch and a live auction at 1520 W Wyoming Ave, in Hayden. Entry fees are $65 for the public, and $45 for Coeur d’Alene Golf Club members. Carts can be rented for $16. Extra tickets for lunch and auction are $10. Raffle tickets are six for $5. The 13th Annual Kootenai County Police & Fire Memorial Foundation Golf Tournament held at Avondale Golf Course is our most anticipated fundraising event of the year. Proceeds from Registration, auction and raffle proceeds benefit Kootenai County first responders- fire and police, who protect your city and county (and surrounding areas).
We have a great day of golf scheduled for you and your friends. Morning check-in opens at 7:30. The shotgun begins at 9:30, and teams enter a course filled with entertainment.
Come early and enjoy coffee, pastries, and practice at the complimentary driving range. Then browse our many silent auction packages, purchase raffle tickets, and visit with friends during opening ceremonies.
The Tournament is not a typical golf event. We provide comfort stations throughout the course to enhance players’ experiences, ranging from BBQ wings and Pita Pit to wine-tasting and crowd-pleasing margaritas. Contests include: men’s & women’s longest drive, closest to the pin, hole-in-one vehicles, and games of chance. The event concludes with a a sit-down dinner.

Transportation & Parking
Guests will arrive at Camp Lutherhaven via CdA Cruise boat. The Coeur d’Alene resort will have complimentary valet parking for Boots & Pearls guests.
Check-in opens at 3:00 at the Boardwalk cruise boat launch.
The boat will depart the CdA Resort promptly at 3:30 pm.
The boat will return to the resort by approximately 9:30 pm.
Should you choose to drive, check-in will be open at the top of Camp Lutherhaven near the Chapel at 4:15 pm.
A fun, free, family friendly, way to celebrate the vintage and retro styles of the past. There will be food, vendors, live music, an art show, a car show, and a fashion show. Emerge’s INK! Print Rally Coming in September
Steamroller Art, Live Music and More at Second Annual Event
Local community arts organization Emerge is hosting its Second Annual INK! Print Rally in the parking lot of its downtown Coeur d’Alene gallery on Saturday, September 8th, from 3 to 9 pm. This unique event features a steamroller and hand-carved wood panels to create one-of-a-kind prints on large pieces of fabric. Each panel is hand-carved and inked by a local artist, then rolled and revealed at the event for all to see.
“INK! truly is a one-of-a-kind event for the community,” says Emerge Executive Director Jeni Hegsted. “This year, we’ve partnered with some of our higher education institutes, like Lewis-Clark State College and the University of Idaho, to make this an educational experience as well as an entertaining one. Emerging print artists get to work right alongside more experienced artists to create art right before everyone’s eyes on a huge scale.”
Event participants include six regional colleges and universities, local businesses, and community-based organizations. There will also be interactive printmaking booths with activities for all ages, local artisans and makers, food trucks, and a beer garden. All of this is set to live music from local bands Hobo Hangout, the Bitch Fits, and the Newman Band. Attendance is free and open to the public.
This year’s theme is “Resilience”: how individuals, communities, and environments adjust to challenging events, adversity, and natural processes. The showcased prints will reflect processes of adaptation and how resilient knowledge can be used to support well-being.
“The theme coincides with the process of steamrolling panels of carved wood,” says Hegsted. “We put a huge amount of weight and physical stress upon the fabric, ink, and wood to create a piece of art that speaks of the artist, and hopefully speaks to the viewer.”
It is the mission of Emerge to provide free and affordable arts education to youth and adults in our community. The funds raised during the INK! Print Rally will be used to maintain printmaking equipment for the Emerge classroom, offer scholarships, and provide the needed resources to underwrite diverse art education for our community. All event proceeds benefit the Emerge community arts program.

The ALS Association’s premier event, our Walk to Defeat ALS® is an outlet for communities across the nation to demonstrate their concern for and the urgent need to find the cure for ALS while providing the best care for those who are currently battling the disease.
What began more than 15 years ago as a grassroots effort to increase awareness has now turned into a National Signature Event that the entire ALS community rallies behind, growing the number of teams and participants each year.
Whether reinvigorated by the Ice Bucket Challenge 2014 or new and concerned about our cause, over 150,000 ALS supporters nationwide participated in local Walks this year. It was incredible to feel your support, as Walks across the country broke fundraising and attendance records, and enthusiasm was off the charts!

Support childhood cancer families in the Inland Northwest by attending the Anna Schindler Foundation’s memorial golf tournament. Join us for a 9-hole scramble or just for dinner and an exciting silent and live auction.
