All dances will be taught by our caller, Susan Dankovich. No experience or partner required!
Wear comfortable clothing and no mark shoes. Contradancing is good exercise.

2nd Annual International Food and Drink Festival @ Silver Lake Mall

The Human Rights Education Institute, Hayden Chamber of Commerce, and The Family Guide are hosting the 2nd International Food and Drink Festival at the Silver Lake Mall on Sunday, January 28, 2018 from 4-7p.m.

Live Entertainment. International Food & Beverages. Cultural & Visual Arts. Highlighted performers are Lake City Highland Dance, North Point Latin Jazz and Angela Marie Project. Additional music provided by Ruby Frog Entertainment.

Some of our participating restaurants in 2017 were the Olive Garden, Sweet Lou’s, Azteca, The Fedora, The Italian Bakeshop, The Wellness Bar, Pita Pit, The Greenbriar Inn, Panda Express, Philly Express/Aebleskivers, Coeur d’Alene Casino, Cheryl Davilas Salsa, Wellness Bar, Costco and more.

Beer provided by Daft Badger, Tricksters, and Mad Bomber, and cider by North Idaho Cider.

PAS has been in our community for over 20 years and I have been volunteering for this organization for 8 plus years, my heart is so full with the continued community support we receive to help PAS implement Our Mission: “Panhandle Autism Society supports individuals with an Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families in Idaho’s five northern counties through education and enrichment opportunities.”

The Hospice Wine Taste event is the community’s choice fundraiser for Hospice of North Idaho. For 33 years wine and food lovers relish in this extensive experience.

Mardi Gras Krewe d’Alene 2018 @ Cd'A Resort Plaza Shops

Feel as if you are strolling the streets of the French Quarter in North Idaho. Sample New Orleans-style fare in a competition between eight local favorite restaurants. Enjoy a drink in our re-creation of the oldest pub in the US, the pirate’s den, Lafitte’s Blacksmith Shop Bar. Experience a variety of street entertainment, live music, and artists in action in the famous Jackson Square. Bid on an artist-crafted mask in our silent auction. And enjoy traditional Beignets and Café au Lait in our little street cafe.

Live music by Twisted Biscuit plus the entertaining Gumbo Brass Jazz Trio.

Tickets are $40 ($45 at the door). Includes all entertainment, food sampling from seven competing restaurants, a souvenir Mardi Gras pint glass and traditional Mardi Gras fun, including the crowning of the 2018 King and Queen of the Mardi Gras to be chosen during the evening, plus prizes for best costume and most spirited reveler. A prize for the one who finds the baby in the King Cake, and a door prize. Costumes are encouraged but not required. Beads and masks will be available for sale at the event.

Wine, Stein and Dine is the annual fundraiser of the Post Falls Education Foundation to fund innovative classroom grants for Post Falls School District educators, all subjects, in grades K-12. These grants greatly enhance the learning experience of the students, and motivate the educators to create new ways to teach.
The Foundation has awarded over $575,000 in grants to teachers in the district in the last 21 years. The event draws up to 400 people (21 and over)
This event includes tasting of microbrews and hard ciders from local breweries, and wine from area wineries, with an array of foods from local restaurants, live music with Bill Bozly, wine tree raffle, photo booth and silent auction.
