The Early Learning Academies are a FREE unique opportunity to learn from early childhood professionals in three webinar sessions and receive FREE early learning resources and materials to support the growth and development of children from birth through age five. Anyone who works with children from 0 – 5 is encouraged to attend.
WEBINAR SESSION THREE: Promoting Literacy in the Early Years

>> Gain an understanding of the term “literacy” and the many aspects associated with it based on children’s developmental ages.
>> Explore the concept of literacy-rich environments and ways to promote vocabulary development as well as pre- reading skills.
>> Learn how to use early learning materials to promote literacy in ways that support positive adult-child interaction
The Early Learning Academies are made possible by the Idaho Association for the Education of Young Children, the IdahoSTARS Project, Idaho Children’s Trust Fund, Lakeshore Learning, and Lee Pesky Learning Center. Professional Development Certificates will be available to all attendees at the conclusion of each webinar session.
Join us for the *virtual* Idaho Transportation Conference on October 28th and 29th! Advocates, city staff, transportation professionals, planners, and elected officials from all over the state will come together to share information, learn from one another, and get to know each other.
October 28: Advocacy Day
Keynote by Angie Schmitt followed by break out sessions led by advocates or subject matter experts throughout the day.
October 29: Policy Day
Break out sessions including: Statewide Transportation Study Update, Legislative Panel, Public Transportation, Transportation Safety Technology, ITD Walking and Biking Updates and a Federal Transportation Update.

ALL TEAMS MUST REGISTER FOR EVENT HERE:
Families with kids/teens of all ages can participate and will be sent out together around Post Falls area to locate items on list for points. All teams need a smart phone camera to take photos of each item their team finds. Fun activities can be completed at different area parks for extra points.
Special Prizes for the top 3 teams; every team gets a prize for participating.
Check in starts at 2 pm at church parking lot and hunt begins at 2:30 pm.
