Join us for the following volunteer event to help children in our community. We’ll be putting together backpacks full of food for kids over the holiday break.
The Post Falls Food Bank works closely with the Post Falls School District to provide food for over 150 students over the holiday break. These children who are living at or below the federal poverty level and are at risk of not getting enough to eat over the long break. Nutritionally balanced food is identified specifically for this program. The food packs are purchased by the Post Falls Food Bank and need our help to assemble these backpacks.
Please sign up with the link below to help us keep track of how many volunteers we’ll have and how much food and drinks we’ll need to provide for the party!
Our $10 bag sale for charity has come upon us once again. Together with the help of our generous customers who have marked to donate the remaining clothes that we could not buy from them to this sale, have found a way to give back to our community. The sale is crazy but wonderful and you will not want to miss it. We provide a kitchen size garbage bag for you to stuff with a gymnasium full of clothing, shoes and accessories and each bag is only $10 cash. If you want to get in a half hour early it will cost you a $20 cash donation at the door to get in at 4:30pm, however that does not include the cost to your stuff to bag. All profits go to local charities as we have raised tens of thousands over the past eight years. We will try to donate at least $1000 to the Boys and Girls Club and then we will soon decide the other recipients. SOME ADVICE…Please try to leave small children at home, where comfy clothes as you will be sorting through piles on the floor, and do not bring things that you might lose or that might get stuffed into someone else’s bag.
Here are some of the charities we have donated to in the past:
BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB
N. IDAHO VIOLENCE PREVENTION CENTER
CASA OF N. IDAHO
N. IDAHO HEAD START
NEW BEGINNINGS (veterans)
LAKE CITY FOOD BANK
IDAHO YOUTH RANCH
KID CENTRIC SPORTS ASSOC.

For the 7th year in a row, Coeur d’Alene will host The Sweethearts’ Ball, which celebrates the lives of children in the greater northwest who battle cancer-related illnesses. Every spring we bring together some of Coeur d’ Alene and our surrounding areas most generous benefactors to share a night full of love, compassion and excitement while bringing together our community in a fun and realistic way. Over the last 6 years, The Sweethearts’ Ball has been able to contribute over $250,000 and has helped send hundreds of children to Camp Journey free of cost to them and their families. With the support and kindness of the whole community Camp Journey can continue to bring such special kids, the most amazing week of their lives!
