The Civic Engagement Alliance’s mission is to generate grassroots community engagement for the common good. Through collaboration and partnership, we organize nonpartisan, mission-driven campaigns to improve civic life. Learn more about us at https://www.civicengagecda.com
The reason to support the Civic Engagement Alliance is that we choose to empower through positive and unifying methods in a highly divisive and troubling time. We choose to build bridges and listen. We seek partnerships with organizations and individuals to strengthen and elevate shared causes. We recognize the reasons why so many of our youth and marginalized populations are not civically involved. We hope to provide the tools, education and inspiration to help bring people together and embolden new voices.
With your help, some of the things we hope to achieve are:
* Collection of 1500+ diverse Civic Engagement Survey responses
to give insight to the larger community on what people care about locally.
* Increased efforts for voter registration and vote by mail.
* Creation of a nonprofit directory to help recruit and match volunteers to meaningful work in our community.
* To lead the effort in creating an accessible and visual voter guide
with partners for November 2020.
* To bring the Civic Action Festival back to the community in 2020.
Come on down, make new connections, bust a groove, eat fun appetizers and discuss how together, we can build a stronger community.
SAVE THE DATE! Join us for a block party where parking spaces will be temporarily turned into public spaces as part of global park(ing) day. This 5th annual event is part of the visioning and master planning effort to revitalize East Sherman.
