CdA Charter Academy Presents: From Bach to ROCK! @ North Idaho College-Schuler Performing Arts Center

Coeur d’Alene Charter Academy will present their season finale concert, “From Bach to ROCK !” Thursday, May 23, 6p/5:30 doors open, at the NIC Schuler Performing Arts Auditorium. Performances will include Orchestra, Band and Jazz students and will feature a wide range of music and showmanship. Admission is free and open to the public. The North Idaho Family Group (NIFG) is an Idaho 501(c)3 non profit. It is a membership and program driven group whose mission is Healthy Families and Life Long Learning. NIFG is a backbone organization that will produce the annual Family Day in the Parks event in the spirit of the former collaborative, nonprofit based, Kids Day in the Park with a greatly expanded venue, schedule of events, audience and opportunities.

The event will give families a last day of school activity that is free to the public and lasts until after dark.

The Museum has three new exhibits this season. The two seasonal exhibits New Land, New Life: Immigrants Shaped Our Region and Keeping History Alive. The first exhibit provides a look into the lives of some of the people in the major immigrant groups that settled here. The second exhibit showcases a sampling of the Museum of North Idaho’s recent artifact donations. The exhibits will run April 2 through October 31st. A new permanent exhibit Explores and Fur Trade, created by the Friends of Spokane House, looks at trade prior to white settlement and explorers.

Art on the Green 2019 @ Campus of North Idaho College

Art on the Green is a marketplace for fine arts, a performance space for a variety of talented performers and a gathering place for friends and families that is a highlight of summer in Coeur d’Alene. Over 160 artists and 500 volunteers come together to present Art on the Green for more than 25,000 people to enjoy. It is a great place to see and purchase fine art direct from the artists; paintings, photography, pottery, jewelry, clothing, metal sculpture, glass art, handcrafted works in clay, wood, leather, fiber and more. Kids of all ages can create their own special art in our Children’s Art Garden. There are free performances on two stages all weekend long and our Beer & Wine Garden enjoys shaded seating at our North Stage. We invite you to join us for tasty food, cold beverages and festival treats while you enjoy this celebration of art, creativity and friendship at Art on the Green.
